When looking for Internet service, not only do you have to decide if you want broadband or dial up, you have to decide where you would like to get your service. For broadband Internet, I have had the best luck with Time Warner Internet. I, at one time, had DSL Internet through Verizon. I was very unhappy with the service I was getting, and decided I needed to make a change. Not only was my phone bill way too high, I found the Internet service to be average. I decided to look into Time Warner Internet service.
I had Time Warner as my cable provider and I kept seeing ads for Roadrunner, the premier Time Warner Internet connection. The Internet ran though the cable line rather than the phone line. They advertised that cable was a faster medium than phone wire, and that Roadrunner was the faster than DSL by a large margin. When I called to discuss Time Warner Internet service, they told me I could also get my home phone though them, and could eliminate the phone company altogether. Because of all the problems I had been having with my phone company, I thought this might be the best way to go.
The phone service runs with Time Warner Internet in a package deal. For $125.00 a month, I can have my cable, phone and high speed Internet service. For me, this was a savings of about almost $150.00 dollars a month. Because Time Warner Internet runs though the cable lines, they can afford to offer free long distance in the US. I have a bad habit of calling friends in Australia, so that got quite pricey. With Time Warner Internet, I can call Australia for ten cents a minute.
Another great feature of Time Warner Internet is the customer service. I have always gotten quick and helpful advice when I’ve had a problem, though I have to admit, I really haven’t had many problems. I find Time Warner Internet service to be reliable as promised. The only down fall to having my phone through my Time Warner Internet connection is that when the power goes out, I have no phone service. This isn’t too large a hassle, however, if you have a cell phone that can be used during these times. Overall, I am very happy that I decide to switch to Time Warner Internet service. The price is right, the service is top notch, my Internet is faster than ever, and I got to keep my phone number. What’s not to love?
